Summer is one of my favorite seasons. It means blue skies, green trees and plenty of sunshine. As a child it meant catching bugs, building forts, splashing in the creeks and hunting for treasure. Today, it still means the same things, only now, I get to share it with the little people I adore the most. When I was young, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by happy music, good books and magic. Peter Pan was one of my very favorite stories. I've chosen to model my life in a way to always have "Neverland" close to my heart. One of my favorite movies is Finding Neverland. We've survived our first month with four babies and it's been a dream! Going from 3 to 4 kids has definitely been the easiest transition so far. Thank goodness! I've been super excited to get photos of all my babies together but tend to stress about coordinating outfits. (Silly, I know. You just never know when you'll get the perfect photo to frame for your house, right?!)  Here's a few things I've learned about looking our best for portraits! How to Coordinate Outfits for Family Photos   Don't Wear the Same Thing You want to coordinate not match exactly. We are absolutely GIDDY with joy! . . . Because we found out that we are expecting baby NUMBER FOUR this November! AND . . .   We are thrilled to be adding another GIRL to our crew. I have been wrong guessing the gender for EVERY SINGLE KID so I dont know why I was so surprised when we found out it was a girl. We decided to go in at 14 weeks to Fetal Photos  to find out what we were having early because WE ARE THE MOST IMPATIENT PEOPLE EVER. I knew the moment she got a good shot of the baby that it was a girl and whipped my head around to see my kids reactions when she told them. Posey's face light up and she threw her hands in the air and said, "CAN WE KEEP HER?!" Poppy was thinking it was a boy but was really happy to have another girl. Drix had no idea what was going on. Gavin also thought it was a boy so his face probably looked just like mine did. We continued with the ultrasound and told the girls they could make cupcakes to tell the rest of the family that weekend....

I cannot comprehend how my little guy is officially six months old already... and I further can't believe it's taken this long to get his nursery done! Better late than never eh? I have loved putting together this nursery for Hendricks. This little man has been a delight to be around lately. He is funny, snuggly and a total mama's boy. And I love it. Hey-o fellow Happy Thinkers! Today I've got a cute little Adventurer Sign DIY project for any room in your darling house and it's pretty dang easy as well. DISCLAIMER: I kinda did my project the hard way because I was lazy. Ironic right?!  So be sure to read my suggestions of what I'd do differently in the red.   Items You Will Need for this Adventurer Sign: Quote printed on engineer paper from Staples (Or printed on freezer paper at home!) A rod and rope (to hang your sign) Fabric paint and stipple brush Canvas material Pom Pom ribbon or something you'd like as a border Step 1 So to begin, find whatever quote or phrase you'd like on your sign. I printed this on engineer paper at Staples to get it the size that I wanted hanging over the crib in Hendricks room. Me!} Before Miss Poppy was born, I saw this darling Let Her Sleep Sign on Pinterest and just fell in love. Now raise your hand if you like someone else to work on something first, find the best way to do it, then show you how? {Oh yeah... Decorative Pom Pom Tutorial Today I am going to show you how to how to make those adorable pom pom's that are all over Pinterest. I guarantee you've pinned them at least once. Did you know they are super easy and super cheap? Totally!  So get ready. Get set... Go! First off, pick out your desired color(s) of wrapping tissue. These can be purchased at most stores, although you have a wider assortment of colors and patterns at a party store. For a basketball size pom pom, use two packages (approx. 20 sheets) You can make smaller sizes by cutting the sheets in half. They will still be full, only smaller. I personally like different sizes on my wall, adds dimension! Step 1: Fan-fold all 20 sheets Step 2 and Step 3:  Bend and fold in half     Step 4:  For a scalloped edge, cut ends so they are rounded.
