Are Ya Kitten Me?-It's a Kitten Party!

Image
Don't let that little face fool you, this little sweetie pie was in HEAVEN when we threw her a kitten party this year. I still cant believe she is THREE! Are ya 'kitten' me?!     If you know me, you know that I love to plan parties and go a bit overboard. Ok a lot overboard. (Remember this party? Or this one?) So when I was trying to figure out what to do for Miss Posey's party this year, I knew it had to be good. I love puns and she loves animals of all sorts so having a "She's turning three, are ya KITTEN me?" party seemed like a match made in heaven, but ONLY if I could find someone with kittens and would allow them to come visit a bunch of crazy kids at a party. (Am I crazy, or am I crazy?) Luckily everything went peachy and no kitties were harmed in the making of this party. Do Your Own Kitten Party! For our menu, we had three kinds of milk; white, chocolate and strawberry. Cheese and crackers (with a little decorative mouse nibbling on them) Meat...

It's a Unicorn Party!

Image
It may sound uniCORN-Y, but I sure love this little girl!  Not too long ago, this little sweetheart made me a mama and here we are five years later, (FIVE YEARS!?) celebrating with the most epic Unicorn Party I've ever seen. Below all these darling photos by Addie with Utah Alternative Photography , I included some tips/tricks and ideas so you can throw your own magical unicorn party.  TIPS/TRICKS/INSPIRATION for Your Own Unicorn Party: Food: -We requested pastel colored dough from our local bakery and made simple bread sticks, Pizza Factory style. (Wrapped around a stick/dowel from Hobby Lobby.) Roll it out, cut in strips, wrapped around stick, bake, brush on butter and salt to taste. Can you say, "Easy?" -Rainbow Salsa from Gimme Some Oven . (Delicious! TRY IT NOW!)  -Rainbow Unicorn (Fruit) Dip from Chocolate Covered Katie.   -My mom made the cake and it totally reminds me of the cake on Sleeping Beauty before the three fairies use their magic. ...

How to Host a Pie Fight Party

Image
Who is ready to step up their Pie Day game?! But really... Why limit the fun to just one day in March? For my wonderful Dad's birthday this year, we threw him a surprise party... but not just any surprise party, we decided to show our love for him by a good old fashioned PIE FIGHT!  (He's such a good sport!) If you know us, we love getting messy and this was a perfect way to laugh and enjoy one another as well as celebrate someone we love dearly.  We had a blast and now I want to share the process with you so you can have a shindig of your own!  How to Host a PIE FIGHT Party! Supplies:  A ton, and I mean A TON of pudding mix Milk Whipped Cream Sprinkles Maraschino Cherries Pie tins Ponchos (optional) Warm washcloths Water hose Table cloths Tips and Tricks The warmer the weather, the better. Because OBVIOUSLY you should do this outside. We got super lucky as you never know if it's going to rain, snow or be sunny in Utah this time...

Shell Yes

A mermaid party? SHELL YES count me in! Alright you guys. I know this Shell Yes party is old news and you are all probably sick of seeing it on everyone's social media. So after this blog post, I am done, I promise. After all, if it doesn't get blogged, did it really happen? Hmm? SHELL YES IT DID! I've said it a million times, but this party was absolutely the highlight of this summer. (Hendricks was born in the spring so I can say that!)  If you've followed me for awhile you know that I perform as a mermaid for birthday parties and special events. I sing songs, swim and read a book I've written especially about my mermaid character, Sonnet. This kids love it. Heck, the adults do too. The tail is super realistic.   Anyway, I've been living in Iowa for the past four years and have watched from afar as Alison (from The Alison Show ) and her friends all partied without me. (Insert sad, crying face emoji.)  I told myself if we ever moved back, I would definitely go...
