Neverland Room by Photowall

Image
Summer is one of my favorite seasons. It means blue skies, green trees and plenty of sunshine. As a child it meant catching bugs, building forts, splashing in the creeks and hunting for treasure. Today, it still means the same things, only now, I get to share it with the little people I adore the most. When I was young, I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by happy music, good books and magic. Peter Pan was one of my very favorite stories. I've chosen to model my life in a way to always have "Neverland" close to my heart. One of my favorite movies is Finding Neverland. Johnny Depp plays the author, JM Barrie and is about the inspiration for writing Peter Pan. In an interview, Johnny Depp described it like this: "Do your best to not grow up so quickly. It's ok to grow old and be an adult, but maintain those beautiful qualities." Johnny Depp | Finding Neverland I really wanted to create a magical space that would inspire my children to "Find their own...

Fairies in Spring Quarantine!

Image
Spring has Sprung throughout the land, and although we are still on quarantine, we are also on spring break right now. And we are bound and determined to make it a good one full of magic and excitement. To kick off our break, we decided to welcome spring, fairy style. So we created some fairy wings with a little cardboard, paint and ribbon. Inspiration Next, we make some easy peasy fairy wands with items all found at Walmart. (Cha-ching!) We grabbed a package of dowels and ribbon and voila! Fairy Mail Company is the CUTEST little company that sends magic fairy mail to your house. (Perfect for quarantine eh?) We got the sweetest little letter in the mail from the fairy, Clementine, along with a list for a nature scavenger hunt. They has so many different options of letters to send your little one, or you can even do a subscription where you can get WEEKLY deliveries. Um yes please! Last, but DEFINITELY not least, we used our findings from our scavenger hunt to create the cutest fairy ...

Is it that time of year where you're looking for an awesome costume for all the prestigious Halloween parties you've been invited to? Or maybe you're planning a trip to The Happiest Place on Earth and want to make your trip EVEN MORE MAGICAL? You may have heard the term "DisneyBounding" but aren't quite sure what that means. You want to dress up, but dont want to wear a cheap or uncomfortable costume. Maybe you have a small budget and dont want to spend a ton of money. Maybe you have a really cool husband and he's given you a HUGE budget for costumes. Whatever your situation, DisneyBound is the answer. Disneybounding is a really fun way to dress up as your favorite Disney characters without having to wear a cheap or uncomfortable costume. What I really love about it is that you can be as extravagant and obvious as you want, or you can go super subtle so only you know how magical your outfit really is. A couple things that I LOVE about DisneyBounding is th...

How to Coordinate Outfits for Family Photos

Image
We've survived our first month with four babies and it's been a dream! Going from 3 to 4 kids has definitely been the easiest transition so far. Thank goodness! I've been super excited to get photos of all my babies together but tend to stress about coordinating outfits. (Silly, I know. You just never know when you'll get the perfect photo to frame for your house, right?!)  Here's a few things I've learned about looking our best for portraits! How to Coordinate Outfits for Family Photos   Don't Wear the Same Thing You want to coordinate not match exactly. Sure, it'd be so much easier to all get the same tshirt for everyone to wear, but it definitely wont look as good as it could.    2. Consider Textures I absolutely love textures and these can be pretty easy to incorporate into your outfits through a scarf or a hat or sweater. If someone is wearing a sleek and slim dress, put someone else in a chunky sweater   3. Don't Forget Patterns Pattern mi...

Whoa Baby!

We are absolutely GIDDY with joy! . . . Because we found out that we are expecting baby NUMBER FOUR this November! AND . . .   We are thrilled to be adding another GIRL to our crew. I have been wrong guessing the gender for EVERY SINGLE KID so I dont know why I was so surprised when we found out it was a girl. We decided to go in at 14 weeks to Fetal Photos  to find out what we were having early because WE ARE THE MOST IMPATIENT PEOPLE EVER. I knew the moment she got a good shot of the baby that it was a girl and whipped my head around to see my kids reactions when she told them. Posey's face light up and she threw her hands in the air and said, "CAN WE KEEP HER?!" Poppy was thinking it was a boy but was really happy to have another girl. Drix had no idea what was going on. Gavin also thought it was a boy so his face probably looked just like mine did. We continued with the ultrasound and told the girls they could make cupcakes to tell the rest of the family that weekend....

Freshly Picked Moccasins + a Giveaway!

Image
The crisp wind is blowing and there's a slight chill in the air.  The moon is full and bright and there are witches everywhere!  Fall is in full gear in Utah and I AM LOVING IT! Can we please just live in a world that's October all year round? If you're in Utah and haven't gone to Gardner Village for Witch Fest, you should definitely check it out. We had plans to go and although it was a bit rainy, we didn't mind. Sweaters make everything better.  Sweaters and Freshly Picked Moccasins are basically my favorite fall accessories ever.  I am sure you've heard of the wildly popular Freshly Picked moccasins and if you haven't, you will.  I had my eye on these ever since Paisley was born but since we we're on a strict budget, I couldn't justify getting them until we had our third baby and didn't need to buy other baby essentials since we already had a crib and all that jazz. Well let me just say that now that I have them, I consider them essential.  Ye...
