Body Positivity Collab

This pregnancy has been really hard on me physically and emotionally. I didn't get sick much with my other three and overall I had really easy pregnancies. This time, however, I was already drained plus adding on the pounds, the queasiness, the breaking out... Not to mention I freakin MISS my long hair and dont particularly feel like myself with this short "do." All this combined really has taken it's toll on me and I became depressed.  It's hard to know how to change your attitude when you have no idea if it's hormones, (it is) or morning sickness (or all day sickness) or anything pregnancy related. How do you know if you need to go easy on yourself- or if there are things you need to force yourself to do to feel normal again? Aka- fake it until you make it.  These were questions I was asking myself daily. During the first trimester I took the 'take it easy' approach. I hardly had enough energy to get out of bed, let alone do things I enjoyed doing. B...

Add Whimzy to Your Wardrobe

Image
If you know me, you know that I absolutely love anything and everything whimsical. Whether it's books, movies, photographs, crafts and yes, even clothes. If it has a bit of whimsy- I need it in my life. Obviously. After all... I'm only a mermaid some of the time, so how do I carry that whimsy with me wherever I go? Well in this new series, I am going to show you how to: Add a little Whimzy to your Wardrobe! (...and let your inner magic shine!) Before we start, you may be wondering:  "What exactly does 'whimzy' mean? I don't understand what it means to add whimzy to my wardrobe?" Well, beautiful reader, I'm so glad you asked.  whim·zy ˈ(h)wimzÄ“ n. playfully quaint or fanciful behavior or humor.   PLAYFUL. QUAINT. FANCIFUL. HUMOR. Um. Seriously, what's not to love?   So this first series will be what I personally look for when putting together my very own Whimzical Wardrobe. 1. Lipsense Addict

Image
By now I am sure... absolutely SURE you've heard of Lipsense. If you have and tried it, you know why it's a makeup essential. If you haven't heard of it, or haven't tried it out yet, you should at least try it out to see what the hype is all about. Seriously, I am sure there's a distributor near you, just post something on Facebook and the masses will respond. If for some crazy reason, no one has heard of it and no one is a distributor near by, I'll help you out. Yes, I am a distributor, but only because I seriously love this product. I LOATHE sales, but this product sells itself.... Anyways... Lipsense is My Number One Makeup Essential Lipsense is unlike any conventional lipstick, stain or color. As the original long-lasting lip color, it is waterproof, does not kiss-off, smear-off, rub-off or budge-off.  I love makeup. Ever since I had my princess party company , I have constantly been on the hunt for the best makeup products I could buy. I seriously wish I ha...

Femininity

Image
The other day I was nursing the babe and doing what I do best, scrolling through my Instagram when a video caught my eye. I couldn't tell you why I decided to click on it, but I did. The video was of a young girl getting her Quincenera dress and it ends with the phrase: "Femininity is a Super Power." I. LOVE. THAT. Let me tell you why. . . First off, the word 'femininity' is different than 'feminism' or 'feminist'. A feminist is someone who supports women's equal rights to men, thus making them a supporter of feminism, right? Well what is femininity? Not to go all teach-y on you, but I looked it up and here is what I found: "The quality of being female; womanliness."  Guys!....  FEMININITY IS A SUPERPOWER!   Now disclaimer here: I am in NO way opposed to feminism or feminists but I think the topic of FEMININITY is something that we don't necessarily accept as a culture. In fact, I naively went on to read the comments thinking I...

Eyelash Extensions: Pro's and Con's

Image
I first jumped on the eyelash extension bandwagon a little over a year ago when my {past} princess business was in full swing and I was doing multiple parties a weekend. I would always wear fake eyelashes, but didn't always like how they felt on my eyes and couldn't wait to be done for the day so I could rip those suckers off! I thought I'd give the eyelash extensions a go and see how I liked them. I wasn't completely sold on them at first, but not too long after trying out a few sets, I was expecting our second baby and really started to fall in love with them.   Pro's of Eyelash Extensions Your makeup routine is cut in half! I don't like to wear a ton of makeup on a day to day basis since most the time I'm entertaining little ones, but when I had eyelash extensions, sometimes I didn't do ANYTHING to get ready and still was presentable in public. Bangerang. You feel beautiful and feminine Enough said. I love feeling pretty and girly. I feel like ...
