32 more days... just 32 little days left until my due date but it cannot come fast enough. Keeping up with two little {and energetic} girls, staying on top of the house work and all the little things involved in everyday life is getting to be exhausting. But there's no time for that! NESTING has begun and although it can be productive, it can really drive a pregnant lady cra-zy. We don't know if we will be moving after graduation yet, so packing and deep cleaning is on a bit of a hold, but that doesn't mean I'm not bound and determined to get stuff done!    Being a list-maker MASTER, I have made the ultimate list of things I want to get done before baby makes his grand arrival. I pretty much hit the jackpot when I hooked this handsome fella and got him to pop the question seven years ago. When we were expecting our little Poppy, I spent many days thinking about which of us she'd look like {me} and what attributes she'd have. Whether it's pharmacy school, med school or law school, any graduate program can be challenging, especially for the spouse! For the past four years, Gavin has been attending pharmacy school at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and these last few years have been rough in some ways, but incredibly rewarding in others. Graduation is quickly approaching and we are anxiously waiting to find out where we will be going for residency, but that's a post for another day. Valentines Themed Food I always love making themed food for the holidays, especially for the little ones. It's so magical and since I'm cooking anyway, might as well make it fun for all of us! Poppy even said it was the best dinner she's ever had. {So score one for mama!} This year we made: pink and red heart pancakes, heart shaped eggs, sausage, pink milk and butter syrup and of course... strawberries! There's many times throughout the year that I find myself scrambling for inexpensive gift ideas for my hubby. Despite all my good intentions and starting a {secret} "Gift Idea" board on my Pinterest profile, I seem to always be looking for the PERFECT gift that not only says, 'I love you.' but also, 'I know who you are and what you like.' One thing that has really helped me determine gift ideas for my loved ones is to take the Love Languages Quiz . {If you haven't heard about this, I'll assume you've been living under a rock and am happily welcoming you to the real world with wide open arms!}  This test helps you figure out how you {and your loved one} feel the most love. One of my favorite things to do growing up was to make Homemade Tootsie Rolls with my family. We would put on our aprons, turn on a movie (it seemed like it was always The Swan Princess. Remember that one?) and go to town! We'd love getting messy and seeing our efforts turn into something perfectly delicious. It's Valentines Day Week! This week I'll be posting different ways to make this time of year, magical. Let us start of with the reason for the uh... season--LOOOOOOOVE!
